SLB Gave Me 500 Rupees As A Token Of Appreciation Says Indresh Malik

Indresh Malik, who played the role Ustaad Ji in Heeramandi, narrates a memorable scene where SLB was so moved that he gave him 500 rupees as a token of appreciation.

Indresh Malik was interacting with the media during a promotional interview for Heeramandi.

Narrating a memorable moment from the sets of Heeramandi, Indresh said, “I had many scenes with Sonakshi, one scene where she puts the nose-ring on me, it was an emotional scene. Sanjay Sir briefed me about the scene, and I was supposed to cry at the end of the scene, and once I started crying, I couldn’t stop, I was crying loudly, and kept crying even after the scene ended, so SLB came to me, tried to console me, and gave me 500 rupees, as a token of appreciation, that will be memorable scene for me.”

Indresh Malik plays a bisexual in the series, when asked about challenging elements of doing such a complex role. He said, “When you are briefed about your role, playing it with honesty is a challenge. And when you play your role with honesty, it leaves a lasting impression. When the vision of direction, creative team, and your honesty, come together, it is magical.”

Starting his career from theater and moving on to television and now films and OTT, Indresh has covered all the key milestones of the entertainment industry.

When asked about his process, Indresh said, “As long as you are learning, I think your inner child will be alive, as an actor you will grow, you will maintain a peppy-ness and inquisitiveness, that is something I hold very dear to me, I will keep it alive, I will keep on learning till the time I alive.”
