Pets, Mothers And Quitting Smoking Says Fardeen Khan About Chatting With SLB

Fardeen Khan, who made his comeback after a long gap of 14 years with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s debut series Heeramandi, said that he and the filmmaker chatted about quitting smoking.

Fardeen Khan was interacting with the media during a panel discussion to celebrate the success of Heeramandi – The Diamond Bazaar, a period drama about courtesans during the Quit India movement.

When asked about SLB and his working experience, on and off the camera with prolific filmmaker, Fardeen Khan said, “He is passionate and he knows what he wants. If he strikes a chord with you, he will invite you in his process of working and he listens to you, and this is how things should be. I never had a chance to work with such an engrossed and passionate filmmaker, I haven’t had many conversations with him besides the movies. But we talked about pets, giving up smoking, and mothers.”

When asked if Fardeen Khan kicked his bad habit, he said, “I gave up smoking, he wanted to give up smoking, so we had a chat about it.”

Further adding, Fardeen Khan praised SLB for being a true master of filmmaking. He said, “I can't imagine him doing anything else besides making movies. In your life, once in a while you meet some people who are masters in what they do. He is one such person. It is not often that you meet true masters. He is truly a master”

The series stars an incredible ensemble, including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Farida Jalal, Taha Shah Badussha, Adhyayan Suman, Shekhar Suman and more.
