Clipped Trailer Is Out

FX and Hulu's upcoming series "Clipped" offers a captivating look into the tumultuous history of the Los Angeles Clippers basketball team, focusing on a pivotal moment that shook the franchise to its core. With a talented cast led by Laurence Fishburne, Jacki Weaver, and Cleopatra Coleman, "Clipped" promises to be a compelling exploration of power, race, and ambition in the world of professional sports.

"Clipped" centers around Coach Doc Rivers (Fishburne) as he takes on the challenge of leading the LA Clippers to their first-ever championship in 2013. However, his efforts are complicated by the team's owner, Donald Sterling (O'Neill), whose controversial behavior and personal issues threaten to derail their success. As Rivers navigates the challenges posed by Sterling, a power struggle unfolds between Sterling's personal assistant, V. Stiviano (Coleman), and his wife and business partner, Shelly (Weaver), adding a layer of intrigue to the narrative.

The series boasts a stellar cast, with Laurence Fishburne delivering a powerful performance as Coach Doc Rivers. Jacki Weaver shines as Shelly Sterling, while Cleopatra Coleman brings depth to the character of V. Stiviano. The supporting cast, including Ed O'Neill, Kelly AuCoin, J Alphonse Nicholson, Rich Sommer, Corbin Bernsen, Clifton Davis, and Harriet Sansom Harris, adds further dimension to the story.

Created and showrun by Gina Welch, "Clipped" is written by Rembert Browne, Tearrance Arvelle Chisholm, and Tracey Scott Wilson, with Kevin Bray directing. The series promises to deliver a gripping narrative that explores themes of race, power, and redemption.

Clipped is set to start streaming on June 4th, 2024!
