Hayter combined her interest in religion and her education in art and linguistics, to embark on a kind of anthropological experiment in her latest album, "Saved!," which explores a fictionalized conversion to Pentecostalism. Hayter previously recorded under the moniker Lingua Ignota, a Latin phrase which means "unknown language."
