Speaking at the FICCI Frames 2024 event in Mumbai, Sonakshi expressed her excitement about being a part of "Heeramandi," calling her working experience "tremendous." She shared, "Sanjay Sir and I have been trying to collaborate for so many years, and I am glad it happened with 'Heeramandi.' The way he portrays his women characters on screen, nobody else is able to do that."

Sonakshi's admiration for Bhansali's portrayal of female characters highlights the director's unique approach to storytelling, which emphasizes depth and complexity. Despite his larger-than-life films, Bhansali pays meticulous attention to how his female characters are portrayed, a quality that Sonakshi deeply appreciates.

Describing the series, Sonakshi revealed, "On 'Heeramandi,' we had six different women with six different stories to tell, and each one has been given the right importance that every actor craves for from their director. So, to be a part of it has been tremendous."
