Ishq Mitaye From Amar Singh Chamkila Out On This Date

Actor Diljit Dosanjh unveils the first look poster for the maiden track to be released from biopic Amar Singh Chamkila, the song is titled Ishq Mitaye.

Sharing the poster and release date of the song, Diljit Dosanjh tweeted, “Ishq chahe mite ya bane, chamkila ki chamak kam nahi hogi! #AmarSinghChamkilaOnNetflix #ImtiazAli @Shibasishsarkar @mocho05 @NetflixIndia @CastingChhabra @saregamaglobal @ParineetiChopra @arrahman @Irshad_Kamil @aarti1009 @SoamaaG @Filmysethia”

The song will be out on 29th Feb. The music of the film is composed by AR Rahman.

The film, Amar Singh Chamkila, narrates the untold true story of Punjab's original rockstar of the masses, Amar Singh Chamkila, who emerged from the shadows of poverty and rose to the heights of popularity in the 80s due to the sheer power of his music, angering many along the way, which finally led to his assassination at the young age of 27.

The highest-selling artist of his time, Chamkila is still regarded as one of the best live-stage performers that Punjab has ever produced.

Helmed by Imtiaz Ali, also starring Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles, the film will release on Netflix on 12th April.
