On February 27th, veteran actor Rajinikanth and his beloved wife, Latha Rajinikanth, celebrate their 43rd wedding anniversary, marking a remarkable milestone in their enduring love story. Their daughter, Soundarya, took to social media to share a heartfelt note, extending warm wishes to her parents on this special occasion.

Rajinikanth and Latha embarked on their journey of marital bliss in a traditional ceremony on February 28th, 1981. However, their love story traces back to a serendipitous encounter during the filming of 'Thillu Mullu' in 1980. Rajinikanth, the charismatic star of Indian cinema, was approached by a college student, Latha Rangachari, for an interview for a college magazine.

 

Little did they know that this chance meeting would change the course of their lives forever. For Rajinikanth, it was love at first sight. Drawn to Latha's charm and grace, he realized that he had found his soulmate in her. In a moment of spontaneity, towards the end of the interview, Rajinikanth mustered the courage to propose marriage to Latha.
