The official handle of Vyjayanthi Films shared a sneak-peek video, where Prabhas is seen shaking his foot on a peppy background number. The caption read, “Just the warm up… #Prabhas #Kalki2898AD on May 9th, 2024”
The film is backed by Vyjayanthi Movies, it is shot in Telugu and Hindi languages, it is set in a post-apocalyptic world in 2898 AD. It is about the future coming of Kalki, tenth and final Avatar of Vishnu. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani.
According to reports, the teaser for the film is set to be unveiled shortly. Clocking in at one minute and twenty-three seconds, the teaser aims to provide viewers with a glimpse into the world of 'Kalki 2898 AD' and its unique storyline.
Kalki 2898 AD is mounted on a budget of 600 crore, making it the most expensive Indian film ever made. The film's music is scored by Santhosh Narayanan with cinematography by Djordje Stojiljkovic and production design by Nitin Zihani Choudhary.
The film is slated for 9 May 2024 release.
