Sun Pictures Drop D50 Motion Poster

After unveiling an intense new poster on weekend, Sun Pictures drops a motion poster ahead of first look and title reveal of D50, which is written and directed by Dhanush, who also stars as well.

The film is produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner Sun Pictures and marks the second directorial of Dhanush after Pa Paandi (2017).

Sharing the motion poster on social media, Sun pictures wrote, “Finally, it's D day, @dhanushkraja's #D50FirstLook Today 6 PM! #D50”

The film was officially announced in January 2023 under the tentative title D50, as it is Dhanush's 50th film as the lead actor. The film also stars Nithya Menen, SJ Suryah, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Aparna Balamurali, Anikha Surendran, Selvaraghavan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and more.

The music is composed by AR Rahman, while the cinematography and editing are handled by Om Prakash and Prasanna GK, respectively.

Dhanush was last seen in Captain Miller, an epic action adventure trilogy, directed by Arun Matheswaran. Set in the 1930s, during the British Raj, it follows a former British Army soldier trying to save his home village from destruction by the British Army.
