The series is an espionage thriller and also cross-culture satire about the struggles of a half-French, half-Vietnamese communist spy from the final days of the Vietnam War and his resulting exile in the USA.
The series stars Hoa Xuande, Robert Downey Jr, Fred Nguyen Khan, Toan Le, Duy Nguyễn, Vy Le, Alan Trong, Sandra Oh, and Kieu Chinh.
The series is based on the story of the Captain, a North Vietnam plant in the South Vietnam army. He is forced to flee to the United States with his general near the end of the Vietnam War.
While living within a community of South Vietnamese refugees, he continues to secretly spy on the community and report back to the Viet Cong, struggling between his original loyalties and his new life.
The series is directed by Park Chan-wook, Marc Munden, and Fernando Meirelles. The series starts streaming from April 14th, 2024!
