Poachers Promo Is Out, Featuring Alia Bhatt

Actor Alia Bhatt, who recently turned executive producer for Prime Video’s new series Poachers, features in a promotional video, addressing the issue of illegal killing of elephants in jungle for their tusks.

The official handle of Prime Video India shared the video on social media, it said, “A crime against the voiceless is still a crime! after all, murder is murder @aliaa08 as an Executive Producer brings, #PoacherOnPrime, a new Amazon Original Crime series on Feb 23”

The video starts somewhere deep in jungles, where Alia Bhatt talks about an elephant named Ashok, who was just 10 years old, and how brutally he was butchered. The video ends with Alia stating, murder is a murder, and this shouldn’t be overlooked.

Amazon Original crime series Poacher, written and directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Richie Mehta, is an investigative crime series based on true events, Poacher unearths the largest ivory smuggling racket in Indian history. The series features Nimisha Bhattacharya, Roshan Mathew and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in lead roles.

Produced by QC Entertainment in association with Suitable Pictures, Poor Man’s Productions and Eternal Sunshine Productions, Poacher is set to premiere on Prime Video on 23rd February 2024.

Apart from producing Poacher, actor Alia Bhatt is busy wrapping Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala. Interestingly, the movie is co-produced by the actor and filmmaker Karan Johar, who forays into action genre for the first time with Dharma Movies.

She is also part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
