Ramesh Taurani, known for producing blockbuster films, expressed his enthusiasm for the unique pairing of Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi in 'Merry Christmas.' He described their collaboration as a "new combination" that felt just right for the film.
Talking about Katrina and Vijay's casting, he said, "Katrina and Vijay's casting felt like a new combination to us. I feel this is the perfect pairing for the film and it could not have been better than this. Also the film is made in two languages, Hindi and Tamil. So Viay's casting will surely be a boost for the film."
Taurani went on to emphasize that, in his opinion, this pairing could not have been better, signaling high expectations for the chemistry and performances the duo will bring to the screen.
Talking about how he selects a film, he said, "We always look for the script. If the script is good and it excites us, then we go ahead to make that film. Good script is the criteria for us."
Merry Christmas is shot and released simultaneously in Hindi and Tamil. The film is produced by Ramesh Taurani, Jaya Taurani, Sanjay Routray and Kewal Garg under Tips Films and Matchbox Pictures. It is based on Frédéric Dard's French novel Le Monte-charge (Bird in a Cage).
