Tokyo Vice Season 2 Trailer Is Out

Max drops the trailer for Season 2 of their crime series Tokyo Vice, set in Tokyo following the Tokyo Metropolitan Police beat as they encounter the Yakuza. Based on the book by Jake Adelstein.

The story follows American expat journalist Jake Adelstein and detective Hiroto Katagiri as allies while a war for power and territory brews between Tokyo's gangs. Find the truth no matter the cost.

The series stars Ansel Elgort, Ken Watanabe, Nobushige Suematsu, Shô Kasamatsu, Rachel Keller, Rinko Kikuchi, Koshi Uehara, Miki Maya and Yosuke Kubozuka.

Loosely inspired by American journalist Jake Adelstein's first-hand account from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police beat, Season 2 of the series – filmed on location in Tokyo – takes us deeper into the city's criminal underworld, as Adelstein (played by Ansel Elgort) comes to realize that his life, and the lives of those close to him, are in terrible danger.

Tokyo Vice is a series created by J.T. Rogers, helmed by Alan Poul and penned by Jessica Brickman, Karl Taro Greenfeld, Naomi Iizuka, Brad Kane, Arthur Phillips, Adam Stein, and JT Rogers. It's executive produced by J.T. Rogers, Alan Poul, Alex Boden, Josef Kubota Wladyka, Brad Caleb Kane, Adam Stein, Ken Watanabe, Emily Gerson Saines, Ansel Elgort, Jake Adelstein, Kayo Washio, Destin Daniel Cretton, John Lesher, and Michael Mann.

HBO will debut Season 2 of Tokyo Vice streaming on Max starting February 8th, 2024!
