Mumbai, Jan 9 (SocialNews.XYZ) Known for her performance in movies like 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham', 'Pardes', 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', and several others, veteran actress Himani Shivpuri reminisced about her childhood memories of trekking with her friends and cousins, and shared how during exploring the mountains, they used to sing local 'Pahadi' songs.
On the International Mountain Day, Himani shared her deep connection with the mountains.
She said: "Mountains are like a hidden treasure. My hometown, Dehradun, nestled in the hills of Uttarakhand, feels like a piece of heaven. Its snow-capped peaks, soothing river sounds, and delicious food make it a paradise for nature enthusiasts."
Himani said that Dehradun is a gateway to many stunning hill towns in Uttarakhand, making it a travel hub.
"In my childhood, I spent most of my time trekking with my cousins and friends, discovering the calm beauty and breathing in the fresh mountain air. Our picnics atop the hills are some of my best memories. While exploring the mountains, we sang local 'Pahadi' songs like 'Bedu Pako Baro Masa' in our Kumaoni or Garhwali language," shared 'Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge' fame actress.
She added: "I miss those natural vibes in the city, so whenever possible, I pack my bags and head back home to rejuvenate."
Himani is currently seen as Katori Amma in the sitcom 'Happu Ki Ultan Paltan'.
In the current track of the show, Happu (Yogesh Tripathi) embarks on a quest to find heaters as a chilling cold wave hits Kanpur. Unfortunately, heaters are out of stock, leaving Happu in extreme frustration. Capitalizing on the situation, Shakal offers four heaters to Happu in exchange for allowing him to indulge in Kachori.
Meanwhile, Commissioner (Kishore Bhanushali), Manohar (Nitin Jadhva), Master (Vijay Kumar Singh) and Beni (Vishwanath Chatterjee) all demand heaters from Happu for various reasons. To meet everyone's demands, Happu reluctantly leaves Shakal unattended, allowing him to cleverly escape.
Seeking assistance, Happu and Beni visit their friend Kalpana, whose husband manufactures heaters. However, Kalpana asks them to accompany her on a trip to Manali in exchange for help. Upon informing his wife Rajesh (Geetanjali Mishra) she initially disapproves. However, upon witnessing her father Gabbar's (Saheb Das Manikpuri) suffering, she changes her mind and permits Happu to proceed.
