Dhaka, Jan 7 (SocialNews.XYZ) Bangladesh Election Commission (EC) has cancelled the candidacy of ruling Awami League (AL) candidate and incumbent lawmaker from Chattogram-16 (Banshkhali), Mostafizur Rahman Chowdhury.
EC Secretary Muhammad Jahangir Alam told IANS that the action was taken after Mostafizur threatened law enforcement officials by entering a police station.
Earlier, Mostafizur was also criticised for his unruly behavior when he hit media persons and also led an election rally while holding arms.
