Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" is a film that revolves around Bhaijaan (Salman Khan), who is committed to a bachelor life to take care of his three younger brothers. The story takes an unexpected turn when a beautiful woman named Bhagya Laxmi (Pooja Hegde) enters his life, leading to complications due to her family's mysterious and dark past.
The film attempts to blend elements of action and comedy but falls short in terms of a compelling plot. Director Farhad Samji's narrative unfolds with a wafer-thin plot that struggles to find coherence. The first half tests the audience's patience with attempts at humor that miss the mark, and the loud performances don't contribute positively. The film only gains momentum after the interval, and the romantic tracks between the brothers and their love interests are deemed banal and clichéd.
Farhad Samji's screenplay introduces too many characters without adequate development, crowding the narrative without adding significant value. The soundtrack is less than average, with forgettable numbers that add to the film's runtime. However, the saving grace lies in well-choreographed action sequences, stylishly executed stunts, and a notable background score by Ravi Basrur.
Salman Khan invests his charisma and action-hero persona into the character of Bhaijaan, successfully making him lovable. The film includes moments of self-deprecating humor from Salman, providing some laugh-out-loud moments. Stylish action scenes, particularly those involving South superstar Venkatesh, contribute to the film's appeal. Pooja Hegde handles her meaty role confidently but could have toned down the over-the-top filmy antics.
While Salman Khan's die-hard fans may find moments to enjoy, the film caters primarily to his star power and the action genre. The film, however, suffers from too many characters, an unimpressive soundtrack, and a weak screenplay that doesn't fully utilize Salman's charisma. Despite these shortcomings, the film manages to entertain briefly, especially for those who relish Salman Khan's larger-than-life action sequences.
