Set on North Carolina's Outer Banks, about a young ex-con, who risks his newfound freedom to help track down the estranged daughter of a fellow inmate, and unknowingly brings a devil from her past straight to her doorstep.
The film stars Darren Mann as Dovey, along with Dermot Mulroney, Mena Suvari, Alyssa Goss, and Sonja Sohn.
Breakwater stars Darren Mann as Dovey, a young, impressionable ex-con who breaks his parole to do a solid for his prison mentor, a conniving inmate by the name of Ray Childress (Dermot Mulroney).
Dovey crosses state lines to attempt to track down Ray’s estranged daughter but soon discovers her past may be more dangerous than anything he ever faced in prison.
The film is written by James Rowe, produced by Matt Paul, Dana Lustig, Edward Winters, Larry Hummel. This first premiered at the 2023 Cinequest Film Festival earlier this year.
The film is slated for December 22nd, 2023 release.
