Actor Johnny Lever, accompanied by his family, singer Sudesh Bhosle, Raju Shrestha, Avtar Gill, Sunil Pal, Rakesh Bedi, Aditya Pancholi, and other prominent celebrities gathered at Junior Mehmood's residence to pay their final respects. Actor Raju Shrestha, emotionally recounting his childhood spent with Junior Mehmood, shared, "I used to live here, some two blocks down the lane. I have spent my childhood here playing cricket with Mehmood Jr. I remember Mithun Chakraborty, Aditya Pancholi, Mehmood Jr, and I used to play here all the time. He wasn’t just my co-actor; he was like my elder brother."
Veteran actor Avtar Gill paid tribute to the late superstar, highlighting the unique connection he shared with Junior Mehmood. Gill recalled, "When Mehmood Jr used to work in cinemas, I was in school. I remember watching his films in my school days and college days. We wanted to work together, but nothing ever worked out. He was a great guy, a great actor, an even better human being."
Junior Mehmood, known for his roles in iconic films like 'Kati Patang' and 'Aan Milo Sajna,' had a prolific career spanning over 200 films in various languages. His notable contributions include movies like 'Brahmachari' (1968), 'Mera Naam Joker' (1970), 'Parvarish' (1977), and 'Do Aur Do Paanch' (1980). His stardom as a child artist remains unparalleled, having worked with industry stalwarts while maintaining humility and grace.
