Hyderabad, Dec 6 (SocialNews.XYZ) Few ministers are also likely to take oath along with A. Revanth Reddy who will sworn-in as the Telangana Chief Minister in Hyderabad on Thursday.
Arrangements were in full swing for the swearing-in ceremony at L. B. Stadium in the heart of the city.
Nine ministers may take oath along with Revanth Reddy. The possibility of a full-fledged Cabinet of 18 ministers taking oath is also not ruled out.
Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan will administer oaths of office and secrecy to Revanth Reddy and the ministers.
The time for the swearing-in has been revised. Revanth Reddy will take oath at 1.04 p.m. and not at 10.28 a.m. as announced earlier.
Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Director General of Police Ravi Gupta, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sandeep Shandliya and other officials visited the L. B. Stadium on Wednesday to review the arrangements.
Top Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar, several Karnataka ministers and party leaders from other states are likely to attend the swearing-in ceremony.
A large number of Congress leaders and workers from across the state are expected to attend the ceremony.
The Congress party on Tuesday evening announced that Revanth Reddy will be the chief minister. The party's central leadership took the decision a day after newly-elected MLAs of the party authorised AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge to appoint the leader.
After the announcement, Revanth Reddy left for Delhi by a special aircraft. He met Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and other leaders to discuss the composition of the Cabinet.
Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who was the leader of Congress Legislature Party in the dissolved Assembly, is likely to be appointed deputy chief minister.
Senior leaders Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Seethakka, Sridhar Babu, G. Vivek or his brother G. Vinod, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy are among the MLAs likely to be inducted in the Cabinet.
The Congress party wrested power from Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), winning 64 seats in 119-member Assembly.
