Boney Kapoor Gives Thumbs Up to Netflix’s “The Archies”: A Nostalgic Journey into the Past

Actor, director and producer Boney Kapoor is all praises for Netflix release The Archies, says he will watch it again and again.

Khushi Kapoor, the youngest daughter of late Sridevi and Boney Kapoor made her acting debut with The Archies, the film also stars newbie Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Aditi Saigal and Yuvraj Menda.

Helmed by Zoya Akhtar, the film is a rebooted Indian adaptation of famous American comic book characters.

Sharing a wordy note on his social media, Boney Kapoor penned, “Took me back to my school days when Archie's comics were every youngster’s favourite past time, the world created by Zoya takes you back to the past, every actor is perfectly cast, the songs are absolutely in tune with Archie’s world, the entire crew needs to be complimented, @NetflixIndia team included for their marketing and choosing to do this project and giving it all.”

The film is set in 1960s India, Archie and the gang navigate romance, friendship and the future of Riverdale as developers threaten to destroy a beloved park.

Meanwhile on the work front, Boney Kapoor is backing Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan, which will release soon.
