Ae Watan Mere Watan, the film is produced by Dharma Productions where Sara will be stepping into the shoes of freedom fighter Usha Mehta.

The film revolve around the freedom fighter starting an underground radio station, called Congress Radio. It functioned for a few months during the Quit India Movement of 1942. In those few months, it left a huge mark as it greatly assisted the freedom struggle movement by broadcasting uncensored news and other information banned by the British government of India.
Apart from Ae Watan Mere Watan, actor Sara Ali Khan has also lined-up Metro In Dino, Jagan Shakti's untitled drama and Murder Mubarak for release.
