Farrey Was Originally An OTT Release But Change My Mind Says Salman Khan

Superstar Salman Khan, who is bankrolling the forthcoming Farrey, said that the film was supposed to have an OTT release, but it is too fantastic to have just digital release. 

 

Salman Khan was interacting with media during the trailer launch of Farrey. Helmed by National Award-winning filmmaker Soumendra Padhi and stars Alizeh, Zeyn Shaw, Sahil Mehta, Prasanna Bisht, Ronit Bose Roy, and Juhi Babbar Soni. 

 

Talking about the film and praising the new ensemble and filmmaker, Salman Khan said, “I liked the script, and then I saw the film, it was originally supposed to be an OTT Film, and it was so good that it would have waste had it released OTT, so now we are releasing it theatrically. All these kids are great, and they did a fantastic job, I would give the whole credit to the director, he has done a fantastic job. I was blown away by it.” 

 

The film revolves around as an aspiring IITian from a humble background, who gets sucked into a cheating scandal after she is tempted by her friends to help them cheat to get through important examinations.

 

Salman Khan also added that despite being a new ensemble, all of them have done commendable job. He said, “It will be obvious, if I say this trailer looks fantastic, just because my niece in it, but when we finalized this script, I loved it even then, and the way filmmaker has made it, and coaxed out a performance from newcomers, I even visited the sets of Farrey, the way the director was making these newcomers work, I sweat it, I won’t be able to do so much work in my life.”  

The trailer launch also saw Aayush Sharma, Arpita Khan, Sohail Khan, Nirvaan Khan in attendance. The film is slated for 24th November 2023 release.
