Patna, Oct 26 (SocialNews.XYZ) Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) chief and former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Thursday said that an Enforcement Directorate (ED)'s probe is required to solve the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) teachers' recruitment case as the jobs were reportedly provided on the basis of money.
He said that the "Money for Jobs" scandal took place in the state which is similar to IRCTC land for job scam. "As money for job scandal took place during the recruitment of teachers under BPSC, the entry of ED is required here for the investigation.
"Suppose, if the ED investigates the BPSC teachers recruitment, the leaders of Ghamandia alliance (INDIA) will say as the election is round the corner, hence raids of probe agencies are on. I firmly believe that the entry of ED required here in the recruitment scam or during transfer-posting in Bihar," Manjhi said.
Earlier on October 24, Manjhi uploaded a content on social media X saying: "The way IRCTC land for job scam had taken place in the country, similar scam of money for job happened in the state when Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) recruited 1.22 lakh candidates from class one to five and from nine to twelve," Manjhi said.
"I demand a high-level inquiry into the matter as the state government has given the jobs on the basis of money paid by the candidates. The recruitment was done on the basis of giving money and taking government jobs. The state government has cheated the youths of Bihar," Manjhi said.
BPSC issued the notifications of 1.70 lakh posts of teachers from class 1 to 5 and class 9 to 12 in Bihar and 1.22 lakh candidates passed the examinations.
Currently, the documents verifications of candidates are underway and CM Nitish Kumar will give the appointment letters to all successful candidates on November 2.
