Lucknow, Oct 24 (SocialNews.XYZ) Air fares for October 29 -- the day India plays against England in Lucknow -- are touching the skies.
On October 29, a return trip between Delhi and Lucknow will cost anything around Rs 79,000 for a direct flight, which will be costlier than what you will pay for a return trip to foreign destinations such as Bangkok or Dubai.
The two-way ticket for Bangkok ranges from Rs 27,000 to Rs 78,000 and for Dubai range is Rs 28,000 to Rs 68,000.
According to air flight search engines, the economy seat for two-way journey between Delhi to Lucknow on match day is between Rs 7,900 to Rs 10,470, while for business class the fare range is between Rs 33,000 to Rs 79,000.
On regular days, the two-way ticket price is between Rs 26,000 to Rs 65,000 in business class, while for economy class the ticket price could be anything between 3,000 to Rs 6,000.
The cheapest ticket fare for a business class seat on October 29 from Mumbai starts from Rs 73,000.
The economy seat fare between the two destinations is up to Rs 14,000.
Meanwhile, to support the ICC event fervour, the airport operators at the Chaudhary Charan Singh international airport (Lucknow), have installed large screens for passengers waiting for their flights to watch live matches. CCSIA spokesperson said,
“Since the ICC tournament attracts a larger passenger flow, the airport is well equipped to handle even extra flights.”
