Bobby Deol was interacting with media during Jagran Film Festival in Mumbai.
Talking about his elder brother and sharing some old memories, Bobby Deol got emotional, and said, “Sunny Deol is like my father, he often exerts his power as elder sibling. I mean, I would often scold me for nothing studying, and I used to wonder, he never studies himself, why he is screaming at me? I guess that is thing of being elder, you often want your younger ones to achieve what you didn’t.”
After a long hiatus Sunny Deol made a comeback with Gadar 2, and Bobby Deol dragged himself out of dark times with his stellar performance in Aashram series.
When asked about dealing with long phase of struggle, Bobby Deol said, “Everybody goes through ups and downs in their lives, not just celebrity. I think it’s a part of life because I don’t see everyone succeeding everyday in whatever they want to achieve, only way to cope whenever you get into situations like that, don’t give up and never pity yourself. That is the first thing humans do, they pity themselves, and starts that routine of why this happens to me, why does this always happen to me, oh poor me, stop doing it. Only way out is to tell yourself, I need to do this on my own feet’s.”
Crediting his family and elder brother for being the support, Bobby added, “I have a beautiful family, they give me that strength, emotionally. But when it comes to your professional life, you must have the strength to move forward, your family cannot keep supporting you. As a family we have always coped with things like that, my brother is big hearted man, and he has always been there for me. When I was dealing with bad times, my brother told me, we are not stars, think about climbing the top from zero.”
Bobby Deol will soon be seen in Animal, also starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna.
