People Are More Judgmental And Less Respectful Today Says Bhagyashree

Maine Pyaar Kiya fame actress Bhagyashree Dassani, who interacted with youth on this Mental Health Awareness Day, said that people are more judgmental and less respectful in society, which is not right.

Bhagyashree was interacting with the media during 'Portrayal of Mental Health in Indian Cinema' at the Nanavati Hospital on the occasion of Mental Health Awareness Day.

Sharing some poignant points about Mental Health, Bhagyshree said, “It is the universal right of humanity, the most important thing is to respect one another, accept one other, and appreciate one another, so that we can move forward in life. If someone is constantly putting efforts for everyone and he isn’t respected, accepted or appreciated, it hurts them badly. Stop being judgmental of people, and start respecting others, this is lacking in our society, I think that is the basis of every relationship and humanity.”

Bhagyashree also added that Mental Health issues are like normal illnesses which require addressing, there shouldn’t be a taboo about it.

She said, “Most important thing is that one shouldn’t consider mental health differently, it is like a regular illness for which we visit a doctor and seek treatment. Same way, for mental health, talk to the doctor, share about your issue, take guidance for your problems. Whether it is anxiety, depression, or anything else, there is a solution for it. And the only way out of it, is to talk about it.”
