Mahima Chaudhary Break-Down Recounting Her Breast Cancer Struggle

Pardes' actress Mahima Chaudhary, who is a breast cancer survivor, breaks down in tears while sharing her story during an event in Mumbai.

Mahima Chaudhary was interacting during a breast cancer awareness initiative program, to demonstrate her commitment to supporting and advocating for those affected by cancer.

Mahima Chaudhary got overwhelmed during her interaction and started crying. She said, “You have to forgive me, because it hasn’t been very long (crying)…it’s very emotional time for me. And also, these are very happy tears, someone just shared that she beat breast cancer some 20 years ago, and I just feel so hopeful.”

Breast cancer awareness initiative was aimed to educate people about the importance of early detection, regular screenings, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Chaudhry was diagnosed and treated in 2022 for breast cancer. Urged women to incorporate the habit of self-examination, Mahima said, “I am so thankful for this initiative, because I think even now I don’t do self-examination every month, I should, you know, I should be the first person to do it, but I don’t do it. So I am happy that you have come-up with this, I just want every woman to take themselves seriously, and make them feel important at least for five minutes in a month.”

Parting with an encouraging message, Mahima said, “All the women out there fighting breast cancer, just to let you know, the treatment for breast cancer is common and very good. So you will get through this, and you will survive, and you will join the fleet of survivors.”
