Vamsee Share The Real Reason For Tiger Nageswara Rao’s Tagline True Rumors

Filmmaker Vamsee shares an interesting reason behind Ravi Teja starrer Tiger Nageswara Rao’s tagline, based on true rumors.

Vamsee along with Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, Anupam Kher, Nupur Sanon, Renu Desai, Jisshu Sengupta, Gayatri Bhardwaj and Murali Sharma graced the trailer launch of Tiger Nageswara Rao in Mumbai.

Talking about the film and its tagline, which read based on true rumors, Vamsee said, “It was intentional, inspired from true rumors, this movie is a biopic, it is real life story. Back in 1970’s, in Andhra Pradesh there was this thief, and he was one of the most celebrated thief ever, we have made a story based on that, see the thing is, if you pick any biopics, they are based on celebrated people, like cricketers, politicians, or film stars, the biopics are never based on backward people who did something good by themselves also, and he was one of such guy, whose name was Tiger Nageswara Rao, but he was a robber, but that is different thing all together”

“Biopics are usually documented things, you can google the person or have some sort of paperwork, but he was thief who has done some good as well, but there was no documentation about him, he was a thief, no one wrote about him. Only thing I had was 6-7 police cases, then I tried talking to people, but most of the people who knew about him are dead, so whatever I could find, I used it for film, and that is the reason, why I put the tagline, true rumors. I got it through ears, but I don’t have a proof. Now it is up to the audience to believe it or not, but I did believe it, and made the movie” added Vamsee.

During the 1970s, Tiger Nageswara Rao is a thief who dominates the realm of terror in Stuartpuram and masterminds a series of daring heists, where his ingenious methods of outwitting the cops become the stuff of local legend. The rest of the story revolves around Tiger's thrilling escapades and captivating cat-and-mouse game between him and the cops. The film is slated for 20th October 2023 release.
