Rakul Preet Singh along with Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Sonu Sood, Sonali Bendre, Sania Mirza, Taapsee Pannu and others attended Tennis Premier League Season 5 players' auction in Mumbai.
Endorsing the importance of the league, Rakul said, “It is great initiative, I think we need such initiative to make India, a sporting nation. Not just cricket, opportunities in each sports is really important, it is necessary to have platforms for the same, so that the kids can enter into these leagues at a young age, and can go global.”
Rakul’s team has been on a winning spree since last two seasons, and she wishes to complete her hattrick of wins with fifth season.
She said, “This is fifth season of TPL, and it’s my third season with them, Hyderabad Strikers is my team. And since last years, we have even gotten the trophy, so we will put in all our efforts to make a hattrick.”
“I am very happy that with each year the scale of TPL is growing. The league has grown, the number of people taking interest has grown, and I would like to thank Kunal and Mrunal, who started off with this idea, some three years ago” added Rakul.
