NSUI manifesto: 12 days menstrual leave for women students New Delhi, 18 September (IANS) On Monda NSUI released a separate women students manifesto. In this Manifesto NSUI promised that women students will be given 12 days menstrual leave every semester. Beside this the NSUI discussed and promised the issues like zero tolerance towards sexual violence, increasing police patrolling outside the college campus, installing CCTV cameras in the campus, providing a friendly environment to LGBTQIA+ students in the university have been included, Amrita Dhawan, former DUSU President said. In the Delhi University elections, all the student organizations have put all their efforts for the final round. This is the reason why after releasing the manifesto for the all students on Saturday, on Monday NSUI released the women manifesto keeping in mind the women students. In their national office, former DUSU President Amrita Dhawan, former President Neetu Verma, NSUI Secretary candidate Yakshna Sharma held a press conference and released the Women Manifesto, in which women students will be given 12 days menstrual leave every semester, the manifesto stated. During the press conference, Amrita Dhawan said that NSUI always works to advance women by following the ideology of Congress, everything from the first Prime Minister to the first woman President in this country is the contribution of Congress, we also have women students in the campus. Keeping the needs in mind specifically, we have come up with a women's manifesto for the first time in history, she added. State NSUI President Kunal Serawat, former Delhi President and Telangana in-charge Akshay Lakra, Delhi in-charge Nitish Gaur were present in the press conference. They sid tha while the BJP student organization is trying to woo the students by using money power, the Congress student organization NSUI is trying to fight this election based on issues.
