Man kills elder brother in Bihar’s Gopalganj

Patna, Sep 4 (SocialNews.XYZ) A man killed his elder brother in Bihar’s Gopalganj district on Monday, allegedly over a property dispute, an official said.

The incident occurred at Banjaria village under Vijayipur police station in the district.

The accused Aditya Pandey alias Bittu attacked his elder brother Ashwini Pandey using a hoe, critically injuring him.

The victim was admitted to Sadar hospital in Deoria in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh, from where doctors referred him to the Gorakhpur Medical College where he succumbed due to injuries on the way.

The accused Aditya Pandey was also involved in murder of his father Virendra Pandey 7 days ago as well.

An FIR in this regard has been registered in VIjayipur police station in the district and the local police managed to arrest the accused.

"My husband was sitting outside his home and preparing for the Shraddha Karma when Aditya came with a hoe and smashed on his head. My husband was profusely bleeding. Till the time we reached there for his rescue and nab the accused, he fled from the spot. Aditya was also involved in attacking his father 7 days ago. As he pushed his father, he sustained head injury after his head collided with a wall. He also died during the treatment in the hospital," Deepa Pandey, the wife of Ashwini Pandey, said.

"The accused was demanding property from his father. He attacked his elder brother over a property dispute. Following the incident, we have informed the local police about the incident," she added.

A team of Vijayipur police station raided several places and eventually arrested the accused from a government school in Banjaria village. The investigation is currently underway.
