Foe Trailer Is Out

Mumbai, 28th August 2023 (Newshelpline) - Amazon Studios and MGM drops the official trailer for Foe, a new romantic drama from acclaimed filmmaker Garth Davis

Set in 2065, Hen and Junior farm a secluded piece of land that has been in Junior's family for generations, but their quiet life is thrown into turmoil when an uninvited stranger shows up at their door with a startling, inexplicable proposal.

The film stars Saoirse Ronan, Paul Mescal, and Aaron Pierre.

Foe's mesmerizing imagery and persistent questions about the nature of humanity (and also artificial humanity) bring the not-too-distant future to luminous life.

This trailer doesn't hold back on introducing the sci-fi side of this film, set in the future one of them is being asked to join a space voyage - so they'll create a robot replica of the other to stay with them on Earth. Interesting idea. The tone of this reminds me of Never Let Me Go in many ways - looks good.

The screenplay is written by Iain Reid and Garth Davis, based on the book also written by Iain Reid. It's produced by Iain Canning, Garth Davis, Kerry Kohansky-Roberts, and Emile Sherman.

The film is slated for October 6th, 2023 release in the fall.
