Chennai, Aug 9 (SocialNews.XYZ) Twenty people were injured when a company bus, in which they were returning home, overturned on Wednesday in Cheyyar in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvannamalai district.
After completing the night shift, 40 employees boarded the bus which was on the way to drop them home from the company premises in Walajabad town in Kancheepuram.
The incident occurred when bus driver, while trying to negotiate a narrow curve on the road, lost control over the vehicle and it fell into a dry farmland.
Local people, including farmers, rescued the passengers from the overturned bus.
The driver, identified as N. Thirumal (28), who was found to be drunk, was arrested, police said.
The injured are admitted to the Government District hospital at Kancheepuram.
