Jayant Savarkar was struggling with health relates issues, he was 87 years old. The actor passed away in a hospital in Thane.
Marathi film personalities such as Makarand Anaspure, Sanjay Narvekar, Mangesh Desai, and many more attended the last rites of veteran actor.
While interacting with Newshelpline at the last rites, actor Magesh Desai said, “Last month I spoke to him, there was an advertisement, so I called Anna regarding the same, and he told if there is something different only than I will do or else I won’t. That was the beauty of that man, I won’t do anything just for money or time-pass. I am sad that he passed away”
Savarkar's career in Marathi and Hindi films, theatre, and television spanned six decades, which includes movies such as Yugpurush, Vaastav, Singham, Hari Om Vithala, Gadbad Gondhal, 66 Sadashiv and more.
According to media reports, the actor's son Kaustubh revealed that “about 10-15 days ago he was admitted to a hospital in Thane due to low blood pressure. On 23rd July suddenly his health worsened and he was put on ventilator. He passed away at around 11 am due to age related ailments.”
