OTT Is Running On Content, Especially Good Writing Says Maniesh Paul

Actor Maniesh Paul, who broke the barriers of his comic mould with his stellar performance in Rafuchakkar, says the world of OTT is solely running on content, especially good writing. 

 

Maneish Paul along with his co-stars and makers of the series Rafuchakkar was celebrating the success of the show in Mumbai. 

 

When asked about the response and breaking free from his comic genre, Maniesh Paul said, “People have always appreciated me in comic roles, but thanks to the producers of Rafuchakkar, they presented me in a different avatar. See, it is always the vision of makers, as artist, we want to do all sorts of roles, if I don’t get the opportunity, I won’t be able to present myself differently, so thankful to the makers that they gave me an opportunity and the response has been tremendous, not just me, the whole team is getting good response.” 

 

Further adding, Maniesh said, “See, OTT is not about just one actor, it is the teamwork that works, especially the writing, OTT is running on content, and the content is getting superhit.” 

 

Written by Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartik Nishandar and directed by Ritam Srivastav, the show also stars Priya Bapat, Aksha Pardasany, Sushant Singh, Lekha Prajapati and others.

 

In the show, Maniesh Paul played five different avatars, talking about the same, he said, “Playing different roles within a same show is a blessing for an actor. See, most of us are looking for just one different kind of role, and I got five different kinds within one role.”

 

Maniesh Paul was last seen in Jug Jugg Jeeyo, also starring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, and Anil Kapoor.
