Bengaluru, June 27 (SocialNews.XYZ) Karnataka's Large and Medium Industries Minister M.B. Patil on Tuesday directed officials to submit a comprehensive report on court cases related to allotment of Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) plots by July 17.
Chairing a meeting with senior officials of the department, he said that the report should have information on facts and figures of such cases, their status, the lapses occurred while acquiring lands, among other things.
Meanwhile, he stated that in the last 4-5 years 1,748 cases have been filed against the KIADB and out of which in 712 cases, orders have come in favour of the government. Currently, 912 cases are in various stages of inquiry, Patil added.
"It has been found that in a few cases, appeals have not been filed. Henceforth, in such cases, advice of the Principal Secretary of the department and legal department should be sought apart from getting the opinion of the Advocate General," he said.
Noting that in Narasapura of Kolara, the final notification has not been issued so far even after acquiring the land 10 years ago, he opined the issue needs to be resolved.
Now, 11,000 acres of land worth Rs 8,000-10,000 crore is available with the government meant for industrial purposes. The government would adopt a flexible policy to facilitate the availability of plots for other industries when identified specific industries do not arrive, he said.
Principal Secretary, S.Selva Kumar, Industries Commissioner Gunjan Krishna, Commissioner, KIADB Commissioner Mahesh M. and others were present.
