Based on the novel by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, the film will chronicle the first ever rebellion by Sanyasi and Fakir back in 1776, against the British Empire.

The film will be written, directed and designed by Subhrajit Mitra and produced by ADited Motion Pictures.
Forthcoming series Scoop, is created and directed by Hansal Mehta and Mrunmayee Lagoo Waikul for Netflix. It also stars Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Karishma Tanna, Harman Baweja, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Deven Bhojani in lead roles. The series starts streaming from 2 June 2023.
