National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Deploys Emergency Response Teams on Standby for Eid’el Fitr

National Emergency Management Agency NEMA has deployed Emergency Response Teams across the country on standby at strategic Locations including Eid praying grounds. The teams are equipped with the MICU Ambulance and Emergency Response Vehicles in collaboration with other stakeholders in case of any eventuality/emergency.

The occasion as usual had gathering of people from across the state who turned out en mass to mark the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan. Thus, the team helped in controlling traffic and the crowd. NEMA Officers also partnered with the officials of the Sokoto Branch of Nigeria Redcross and Red Crescent. The operation was Hitch free as no casualty was recorded.
