Kangana Ranaut Surprised Me As A Director Says Shreyas Talpade

Mumbai, 12th April 2023 (Newshelpline) – Actor Shreyas Talpade who will be seen playing the role of Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Emergency, is all praises for director and actor Kangana Ranaut, says she surprised him with the ease she works as a filmmaker. 

 

Shreyas Talpade was interacting with Newshelpline recently, where he talked about working with Kangana Ranaut on Emergency and dubbing much awaited Pushpa – The Rule, starring Allu Arjun. 

 

Talking about working with Kangana on Emergency, actor Shreyas said, “Emergency is a big film, and very ably handled by Kangana Ranaut, she is producer, director, and lead actor in the film. As an actor, I think we all love her, because she is phenomenal actress, but at the same time, as a director she has surprised me a lot” 

 

“She has directed the film beautifully, it is a mammoth scale film, she directed the whole film with calm and clarity of mind, it is difficult task to manage such a big film, in which you’re acting as well. The kind of ease she was operating, I was wondering whether it’s her second film or she has been directing all along but secretly” added Shreyas. 

 

Further adding, Shreyas expressed his gratitude for such a big film and role, he said, “I am fortunate to be a part of film like Emergency, plus I am playing Atal Ji’s part in the film, and working with Kangana as an actor and director, I am feeling super fortunate”. 

 

Talking about Pushpa 2 teaser release and its response, Shreyas said, “I am very excited for Pushpa 2, I recently dubbed the teaser, and there was just one line I had to say, but when I saw the visuals and Allu Arjun making his iconic under the chin gesture, I got a little nostalgic and at the same time I got a little nervous as well, because the kind of response the teaser got, and expectation of fans have increased, its added responsibility for all of us. So, I need to do a good job, one more time, I must make sure, that I fulfill all the expectation of people from the film.” 

 

Emergency is a biographical film directed and produced by Kangana Ranaut, from a screenplay by Ritesh Shah and story by Ranaut. Based on the 1977 Indian Emergency, it stars Ranaut as former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi. The film also features Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, and Milind Soman in pivotal roles.
