Minister Attaf receives a phone call from his Libyan counterpartThe Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, received Tuesday a phone call from his Libyan counterpart, Najla Al-Mangoush, who congratulated him on the occasion of his appointment as head of the Algerian diplomacy.

On this occasion, the two parties discussed the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples, and ways to strengthen them, in addition to the latest developments on the regional scene. They also exchanged views on ways to overcome the obstacles hindering the process of political settlement of the Libyan crisis.

Mr. Attaf reiterated, by the same occasion, the permanent solidarity of Algeria with Libya in every effort to strengthen its unity and to consecrate the consensus of its people regarding the organization of free and fair elections that will put an end to the division and restore Libya in its natural place on the continental and international levels.

 

For her part, Mrs. Najla Al-Mangoush welcomed the constant support of Algeria to the security and stability of Libya, welcoming, in this sense, the historical depth and the exceptional character of the Algerian-Libyan fraternal relations, in addition to the promising prospects of their strengthening to meet the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.
