Operation Mayfair Is Based On Real Incidents Says Jimmy Shergill

Mumbai, 22nd March 2023 (NewsHelpline) – Actor Jimmy Shergill says his forthcoming crime thriller Operation Mayfair is based on real life incident with a good gripping story.

Jimmy Shergill was interacting with Newshelpline promoting his film, Operation Mayfair, which is a murder investigative thriller,  helmed by Sudipto Sarkar, also starring Ankur Bhatia, Vedieka Dutt, Hritiqa Chheber, Sneha Singh, Vedant Sarkar, Anjali Sharma among others in lead roles.

Sharing an interesting story about collaborating with filmmaker Sudpito, actor Jimmy said, “Operation Mayfair is film which took inspiration from real-life incidents, interestingly, the filmmaker Sudipto sent me a different script before the lockdown, but for some reasons, it didn’t materialize, but once the lockdown was lifted, I got the script of this film with all the study material and clippings”

When asked about taking a real-life incident and narrating it in thriller format, which could be a channeling task, Jimmy said, “If you don’t have enough material to make a story which could be based on real incident, the film will not come out well or look interesting on-screen, fortunately, our team had a lot of material, and we were able to connect every dot, every scene, and make it interesting. Frankly, a story needs to good in-order to present it well”

Jimmy Shergill portraying the role of Amar Singh, a London Police detective is appointed to solve serial murders.

The film is produced by Bhushan Dua, SCIPL, Vedant Films and Farmcove. Presented under Handcrafted Pictures Limited Production, the film is slated to release on 24 March 2023.
