Serving as one of many energy receptions set to be hosted globally by the African Energy Chamber (AEC) (http://www.EnergyChamber.org), the Invest in African Energy New Year Reception, set to take place on January 26 at the Waldorf Hilton Hotel in London in partnership with Rystad Energy and the African Export-Import Bank, will support energy initiatives across the African continent by connecting African stakeholders with European investors. Set to expand dialogue around global market trends, Per Magnus Nysveen, Head of Analyses at global energy intelligence firm, Rystad Energy, has been confirmed as a speaker, and will be driving discussions around Africa’s investment landscape.
Representing Rystad Energy, an independent research and business intelligence company that has long-been committed to equipping stakeholders with the data and insights they need to improve their decision making, Nysveen will kick start discussions on global market trends and how Africa fits into the gradually transforming energy landscape. For its part, the Invest in African Energy Reception aims to strengthen investment ties between Africa and Europe, with the platform enabling new connections, partnerships and collaborations to take off on the back of heightened cooperation.
“The AEC is proud to announce that Per Magnus Nysveen will be speaking at the Invest in African Energy New Year Reception on January 26 in London, driving market-focused discussions on the state of play of Africa’s investment environment. Representing global market intelligence firm Rystad Energy, a long-standing partner of the AEC, Nysveen will be a key driver regarding all discussions on African energy. Through the Invest in African Energy Reception, and the many more set to follow, a new era of improved Africa-Europe trade and investment is in sight on the back of enhanced cooperation,” stated NJ Ayuk, Executive Chairman of the AEC.
During the reception, Nysveen will drive the discussion on Africa’s investment landscape, showcasing the continent’s attractiveness for foreign capital and its defining role as a global energy hub. By providing new insights into the 2023 global energy market, the challenges impacting resource development and strategies to unlocking new investment and development across the entire energy value chain, Nysveen’s participation will help lay the foundation for conversations set to take place during the 2023 edition of the AEC’s annual energy event, African Energy Week (AEW). Having served as the official intelligence partner of the 2022 edition of AEW – the biggest gathering of energy stakeholders on the continent, whereby $2 billion worth of deals were signed at the 2022 event alone – Rystad Energy represents a key partner, both of the AEC and the African energy sector at large.
“Providing real-time data and analyses on global energy trends, Rystad Energy’s insights have and continue to be key for improving knowledge-based dialogue, and in 2023, the AEC is proud to strengthen our partnership with the intelligence firm even further,” concluded Ayuk.
