Rakul Preet Singh Starrer Chhatriwali Trailer Out Tomorrow

Mumbai, 5th January 2023 (NewsHelpline) - Actress Rakul Preet Singh starrer social drama titled Chhatriwali, will stream on ZEE5 from 20th January 2023 and now the makers are planning to drop the trailer tomorrow.

The film is bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar. The film aims to drive home a strong social message on the importance of male contraceptives and safe sex.

Just yesterday, Rakul Preet Singh dropped a motion poster of the film confirming the release date, she wrote, “No more bunking, it's time for learning with #Chhatriwali on #ZEE5, premieres 20th Jan”

Now, our team has learned that the makers will drop the trailer tomorrow evening, during an epic event in Mumbai.

A slice-of-life film set in Haryana, 'Chhatriwali' is headlined by Rakul who plays the quality control head in a condom factory. The film also stars Sumeet Vyas and Satish Kaushik.

Rakul plays this shy and embarrassed girl, who is hesitant about her job initially, but she soon realises the importance of safe sex and then takes it upon herself to destigmatise the conversation around sex education.

Without being too preachy, the film sets the tone and delivers the message with humour and sensitivity while ensuring that the narrative is entertaining and family-friendly. The film starts streaming from 20th January 2023.

Rakul is also busy wrapping Mission Cinderella with Akshay Kumar, backed by Jackky Bhagnani. She also has a Tamil-Telugu bilingual titled 31 October Ladies Night.
