In order to improve the socio-economic condition of women in the region of Casamance, affected by the civil war in Senegal, Kagamen Woman and Child Association was provided with machinery and equipment for establishing a local grain, fruit, and vegetable processing unit.
As a part of the project, TİKA provided agricultural equipment such as a solar-powered grain dryer, fruit and vegetable processing machines, packaging, wrapping, labelling machine etc. and delivered them to the officials.
Kagamen Woman and Child Association carries out activities that improve the socio-economic condition of the women residing in the countryside in the region of Casamance which has been affected by the civil war that lasted about 30 years. It is aimed to support the women entrepreneurs in the Casamance region through the project held by TİKA.
