UP Cong expels Naved Ali Khan for supporting BJP in Rampur

Lucknow, Dec 1 (SocialNews.XYZ) The Uttar Pradesh Congress has expelled former MLA Naved Kazim Ali Khan from the party for six years for announcing support to the BJP candidate in the upcoming Rampur by-election.

The disciplinary committee of the Congress has issued the letter to Khan on Thursday saying that his support to the BJP amounted to indiscipline.

His rivalry with Samajwadi Party leader Mohd Azam Khan is well known in Uttar Pradesh political circles and the Congress leader announced his support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) only to settle scores with Azam Khan whose disqualification from the state assembly after his conviction in hate speech case, necessitated the by-election in Rampur.
