Agent Gets A Release Date

Mumbai, 25th October 2022 (NewsHelpline) - The makers of Agent, starring Mammootty, Akhil Akkineni, Sakshi Vaidya and Vikramjeet Virk in the lead roles, finally locked Sankranthi 2023 for the release of action thriller.

The filmmaker Surender Reddy took to his social media porifle and dropped a brand new poster and release date of the film. He shared, “Get caught upon all the ACTION, #Agent Arriving in theatres WorldWide this SANKRANTHI 2023, #Agent @AkhilAkkineni8 @mammukka @sakshivaidya99 @hiphoptamizha @AnilSunkara1 @AKentsOfficial @S2C_Offl”

The action spy thriller is written by Vakkantham Vamsi, it revolves around the government tasking Colonel Mahadev (Mamootty), the head of NSC, to capture a rogue agent (Akhil) known to be ruthless and unpredictable.

Agent was announced in September 2020. Initially postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and production delays, the film is now scheduled for a theatrical release in January 2023 during Sankranthi.

Akkineni's role as a spy was reportedly inspired by the character of Jason Bourne from the American-German film series Bourne. The actor bulked up his body for the role. The teaser for the film is already out and viral.
