Aanand L Rai, Neena Gupta And Anees Bazmee Praises Chup

Mumbai, 22nd September 2022 (NewsHelpline) - The makers of Chup – Revenge Of The Artist, organized a special screening for critics and people from film fraternity in Mumbai last night, and thriller has got thumbs-up from everyone. 

 

Helmed by R Balki, starring Sunny Deol, Dulquer Salmaan, Pooja Bhatt and Shreya Dhanwanthary in the lead roles, the film is an ode to late actor Guru Dutt, and chronicles the turbulent love-hate relationship between filmmakers and critics an ugly turn. 

 

Taapsee Pannu, Anees Bazmee, Boney Kapoor, Neena Gupta, Waheeda Rehman, Saiyami Kher, Karan Deol, Shabana Azmi, Anupama Chopra, Komal Nahta, Aanand L Rai, Mrunal Thakur, Jaya Bachchan and more graced the special screening. 

 

While interacting with NewsHelpline, filmmaker Aanand L Rai praised the film and shared a little sneak-peek into the thriller, he said, “I enjoyed the film, I genuinely enjoyed the film, it is a very good film, it is a very important film, it is an important film for the filmmakers, otherwise it is also an entertaining film, this movie will clear a lot of things. This is not just about critics and filmmakers; it is an important film to understand this relation between the two” 

 

Praising the film, actress Neena Gupta said, “I loved the film, I liked it a lot, I loved the concept, as it is I am huge fan of Guru Dutt, and I was sitting next to Waheeda Rehman Ji during the special screening, so it was out of this world experience” 

 

Filmmaker Anees Bazmee also hailed the movie, he said, “I liked the film, it is a good movie. I enjoyed it” 

 

The film is produced by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Jayantilal Gada and Gauri Shinde, slated for 23rd September 2022 release.
