Hyderabad, July 10 (SocialNews.XYZ) Continuous rain over the past couple of days did not deter people from thronging mosques and prayer grounds in Hyderabad on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha on Sunday.
Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao were among the prominent leaders to convey Eid-ul-Adha greetings.
For the past few days, Telangana, including the capital city Hyderabad, have been experiencing downpours.
Weather Department officials said that the city has witnessed rain over the past two days and wet conditions are expected to continue for the next 48 hours as well.
On Sunday morning, Muslims attended congregational prayers at several places in Hyderabad.
With the ground soaking wet due to heavy rains overnight, many people arrived prepared with prayer mats and plastic sheets.
Elaborate security arrangements have been put in place to maintain peace in the city.
The police have set up pickets at sensitive locations and increased patrolling.
