India helping Sri Lanka in its moment of crisis: Jaishankar

Thiruvananthapuram, July 10 (SocialNews.XYZ) Union External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Sunday said India was helping Sri Lanka in its moment of crisis.

He said that Sri Lankan issue was a serious matter and had developed over a period of time.

The Union Minister also said that India was more involved in supporting the island nation with the essential items including food and medicines. He said this while interacting with the mediapersons here.

Jaishankar said there is no misunderstanding in any foreign country including Gulf countries over the statements allegedly made by suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma on Prophet Muhammad.

He said that government of India has communicated with the countries regarding this.

The Union Minister said that BJP was the biggest political party in the world, and in Kerala, it was growing in stages.

Union Minister of State for External Affairs, V. Muraleedharan and BJP Kerala unit president K. Surendran were present during the press conference of the union minister.
