New Delhi, July 10 (SocialNews.XYZ) A 2-year-old girl who went missing from her house in the national capital was reunited with her family by the Delhi Police within an hour following an intensive search operation, an official said on Sunday.
The girl has been identified as Sneha, a resident of Nangloi, Delhi.
DCP Sameer Sharma said a PCR call was received at 9.26 a.m. regarding an "abandoned girl child".
Acting swiftly on the call, the police staff reached the spot Rishal Garden Kunwar Singh Nagar, Shahid Bhagat Singh Park, Budh Bazar immediately, where one woman caller met and narrated that while she was going towards market, she noticed that one baby girl was screaming for help.
"The caller handed over the lost baby girl to the police party. She was asked about her details and home address but she did not respond as she looked afraid and confused," the DCP said.
The police immediately swung into action and deployed patrolling vehicles with loud-speakers installed atop it.
"Announcements were made at every nook and corner of the deserted streets and all the beat staff were informed to get some clue about the family of the child," Sharma informed.
Besides analysis of the CCTV footage, the girl was also taken along and searched for her house and parents by conducting local enquiry.
At last, the parents and the house of the child were traced, who told police that they were busy with their household work and did not know when their kid left the house. "The child was eventually handed over to her parents," the official added.
